What is MEPU?

Understanding MEPU and DRPU - Key Metrics for Telegram Bot Affiliate Programs

🌐

📊 DRPU (Daily Revenue Per User)

DRPU represents the average daily revenue generated per user from a Telegram bot.

What it means:

A higher DRPU indicates that each user generates more revenue per day. This is a key indicator of a bot's monetization efficiency.

Unit: Stars (Telegram's virtual currency)

Example: If a bot has DRPU = 2.5, it means each active user generates an average of 2.5 Stars per day.

MEPU (Max Estimated Profit per User)

MEPU represents the maximum estimated profit you can earn from referring one user to a bot's affiliate program.

Calculation Formula:
MEPU = DRPU × Commission Rate × Effective Days
Effective Days Calculation:

The commission duration is converted to days, with a maximum cap of 12 months (360 days):

Commission Duration Reference:
  • 1 Month = 30 days
  • 3 Months = 90 days
  • 6 Months = 180 days
  • 1 Year = 360 days
  • 2 Years → capped at 360 days
  • 3 Years → capped at 360 days
  • Lifetime → capped at 360 days
Example Calculation:
If a bot has:
• DRPU = 2.0 Stars
• Commission Rate = 50%
• Commission Duration = 6 months (180 days)

Then: MEPU = 2.0 × 0.5 × 180 = 180 Stars
Why is MEPU useful?

MEPU helps affiliates compare different bots to find the most profitable ones to promote. A higher MEPU means more potential earnings per referred user.

⚖️ DRPU vs MEPU Comparison

DRPU

DRPU Focus: Daily monetization efficiency

MEPU

MEPU Focus: Total affiliate earning potential

When choosing bots to promote, consider both metrics: high DRPU ensures consistent revenue, while high MEPU maximizes your total earnings per referral.

💡 Tips for Affiliates

  • Look for bots with high MEPU values for maximum earnings
  • Consider the commission duration - longer durations mean more sustained income
  • Higher commission rates don't always mean higher MEPU if DRPU is low
  • MAU (Monthly Active Users) indicates the bot's popularity and growth potential
